Body Work

Experts estimate that upwards of ninety percent of disease is stress-related. And perhaps nothing ages us faster, internally and externally, than high stress.

Massage is an effective tool for managing this stress, which translates into:

  • Decreased anxiety
  • Enhanced sleep quality
  • Greater energy
  • Improved concentration
  • Increased circulation
  • Reduced fatigue

Some of our latest services we offer:

Bamboo Fusion

Bamboo-fusion massage is a gentle, yet deep massage that easily releases tension in the layers of muscles, fascia & connective tissue due to the warmth of the Bamboo.

Reflexology

Reflexology is a type of massage that involves applying different amounts of pressure to the feet, hands, and ears. It’s based on a theory that these body parts are connected to certain organs and body systems.

Reflexology rests on the ancient Chinese belief in qi (pronounced “chee”), or “vital energy.” According to this belief, qi flows through each person. When a person feels stressed, their body blocks qi.

In the 1890s, British scientists found that nerves connect the skin and internal organs. They also found that the body’s entire nervous system tends to adjust to outside factors, including touch.

Medical Massage

Medical Massage requires a referral from (or being under the supervision of) your Physician or other Healthcare Professional for a  specific injury, physical ailment, pain or dysfunction.

Massage can also help specifically address a number of health issues:

  • Alleviate low-back pain and improve range of motion
  • Assist with shorter, easier labor for expectant mothers and shorten maternity hospital stays
  • Ease medication dependence
  • Enhance immunity by stimulating lymph flow—the body’s natural defense system
  • Exercise and stretch weak, tight, or atrophied muscles
  • Help athletes of any level prepare for, and recover from, strenuous workouts
  • Improve the condition of the body’s largest organ—the skin
  • Increase joint flexibility
  • Lessen depression and anxiety
  • Promote tissue regeneration, reducing scar tissue and stretch marks
  • Pump oxygen and nutrients into tissues and vital organs, improving circulation
  • Reduce postsurgery adhesions and swelling
  • Reduce spasms and cramping
  • Relax and soften injured, tired, and overused muscles
  • Release endorphins—amino acids that work as the body’s natural painkiller
  • Relieve migraine pain
Hot Stone

Hot Stone is a massage that uses smooth, flat, heated stones to warm and relax the muscles to help improve circulation and calm the nerves.

Cupping

Cupping is a massage technique that utilizes silicon or plastic cup applied to the skin with or without a massage medium (oil or gel). In contrast to traditional massage, which uses compressive forces, cupping utilizes negative pressure to lift and open tissues. This technique creates improved blood circulation and tissue hydration, aides lymphatic drainage, helps soften tightened fascia, loosens adhesions, and can assist in a deeper tissue massage that is more comfortable than traditional methods.

Relaxation Massage
  • Swedish massage is a gentle form of massage that uses long strokes, kneading, deep circular movements, vibration and tapping to help relax and energize you.
  • Deep-tissue massage technique uses slower, more forceful strokes to target the deeper layers of muscle and connective tissue, commonly to help with muscle damage from injuries.
  • Trigger point massage focuses on trigger points, or sensitive areas of tight muscle fibers that can form in your muscles.
  • Sports massage is similar to Swedish massage but is geared toward people involved in sport activities to help prevent or treat injuries.
Medical Massage
